Dr. Andrew W. Ferrier was raised in the Rockridge area of Oakland and attended the College Prep High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from UC San Diego. After receiving his dental degree from UCLA, Dr. Ferrier returned to the Bay Area and completed the Prosthodontic residency program at UCSF. Dr. Ferrier is currently an assistant clinical professor at UCSF, teaching students prosth - odontics on the general clinic floor. He teaches at both the main campus and at the Buchanan dental clinic.


Dr. Robert A. Savage grew up in Santa Barbara and completed his undergraduate degree at UC Irvine.
He received his DDS from Northwestern before moving back to California where he attended a general prac - tice residency program for one year. After finishing that residency program he practiced general dentistry in Menlo Park for a number of years. Interested in becoming a specialist, he attended the UCSF Prosth - odontic program. He is now an assistant clinical professor at UCSF and teaches prosthodontics on the general clinic floor.

After Dr. Ferrier and Dr. Savage completed their Prosthodontic residency at UCSF, they opened their own prosthodontic practice, Ferrier & Savage, DDS in the winter of 2007. They now split their time between teaching dental students at UCSF and running their private practice located in the Montclair area of Oakland. Both Dr. Ferrier and Dr. Savage are members of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Alameda County Dental Society, and the American College
of Prosthodontists.

As office manager, Ruth Yagiz is our financial, insurance, and treatment coordinator. She has 5 years of experience working with patients billing and insurance. You can depend on Ruth to work closely with you to be sure the administrative aspects of your care are well managed and efficiently handled. Like Dr. Ferrier, Ruth is also a native from Oakland.
